Status Go: Transformation in Media & Entertainment

Episode 19: Transformation in Media & Entertainment

This week on Status Go, Gabe Cortina, Chief Technology Officer of Bunim/Murray Productions, a pioneer in reality tv production, talks with Victor Tingler, InterVision’s Vice President of Digital Transformation, about how the media and entertainment industry has been disrupted and is being disrupted.  Gabe calls Digital Transformation (DX), “A process of building technology capabilities to either maintain or strengthen your business’s competitive advantage.”

Gabe feels fortunate to work at a forward thinking company with not only a supportive, but involved executive team, and says it’s imperative to lay the right groundwork before engaging in DX activities, stating, “It’s really hard to talk about business transformation if I don’t already have really strong programs in protecting and running the business and I’m already participating in initiatives and projects to help our business scale.”

Listen now as Gabe and Vic dive into the development of the right framework, relationships and initiative IT leaders need to ensure their organizations remain out front and competitive in their rapidly evolving industries.
